Children's Salt Room
A calm screen-free time where a parent/caregiver can sit in or sit outside. Recommended for children 6 months to 9 years old. Above this age and they may wish to use the main salt room. The children's salt room holds up to 5 children and 5 adults. One adult per child.
For their little lungs
Breathing problems are common in children, and respiratory symptoms often increase in school months. Salt Therapy is a natural way to help clear their airways, decrease inflammation and improve breathing
Skin concerns
Eczema and dry skin can make children really uncomfortable. The salt reduces inflammation on the skin and can reduce the need for creams and steroids
Breathing space
Children often have lots of activities and less natural play. The room is designed to be screen free. Breathing with more ease in the salt helps children release. A parent can sit in or relax on the chairs outside
How it works
Microscopic dry salt particles are dispersed into the room while children play for 30 minutes. The salt is gently inhaled and also settles naturally on the skin.
Salt therapy is used by many worldwide as a complementary wellbeing practice to support comfortable breathing, skin issues and relaxation. Modern breathing has been influenced by more than the air around us - less outdoor activity, diets in ultra-processed foods and stress all contribute to inflammation and how comfortably and efficiently we breathe. You can give kids a head start in better breathing with salt therapy.
What to wear
Children can wear normal comfortable clothes. If you are attending for a skin concern you may like to leave the affected area uncovered. Salt, like the sea, can sometimes sting slightly on broken or irritated skin, so please cover any open cuts with plasters.

Times
Daily sessions Monday - Saturday with early morning, day time, after school and early evening sessions. If there is not a time to suit you we may also be able to open another time, around our own children's activities. We are not far away so give us a call on 01403 330897.
